Initial Mural Plans
Some initial sketches for a large scale mural I will be working on next week, in Loki Production’s office, Soho.

Home sweet home
So my mornings now consist of a 7am alarm, start work at 7:30 on a building site, until 1pm and then I am free to do whatever I like until I am too tired to move, normally at around 11pm.
I have been keeping myself sane by building a wee workshop in my folks garage, and entertaining myself making bits and pieces out of wood (for bikes). I sold the first pair of ‘Eastfenders’ to Tony at the weekend, so I am officially making for sale now!
Handlebars!
CV’s are out and about, as are a couple of other applications (crossed fingers)
I also went to see some of the shows that are part of LDF 09 at the weekend. Generally had a lovely time but was pretty disappointed with the festival as I think I tend to be anyway. I went to see YCN which had a lovely piece: the luxury skimming stones, I liked the events they talk of; I would love to know when/if they are used, and why, would you just pop them out at any time or would there need to be a celebration, or special occasion, where are the rituals. Something he doesn’t explore, but maybe thats more interesting, though some speculative/suggested contexts would be nice to see.
We also went to see the Goldsmiths MA show, I was generally pretty upset by it, I thought there was some really sub-standard work. I wont dwell on bad stuff because Stephan saved the day, with his Urinal bin, and accompanying film, which are both lovely.
I’m hoping to get back at the weekend as I really haven’t seen enough, it’s making me sick that I’m not doing anything this year when shoveling sand and shifting bricks, roll on next year.
Posh Squatting
I have been meaning to Blog this awesome writer for a while now: The Posh Squatter is written by a friend of mine, and I feel reading through the posts is a really nice way to learn about both good and bad aspects of art squats.
The most recent entry (The late-night search for a new home) is a really nice account of how we got into our new place on Museum Street, go and have a look!

Internship
I am really really excited about an upcoming internship with Gallery Nosco. I went to an interview yesterday half expecting the space to be a typical West London Gallery, with polished floorboards and overpriced graduate work. Far from it, Gallery Nosco has an office and storage space in Kensal Green, and creates exhibitions by searching out disused spaces around London, and contacting owners to ‘lend’ the buildings out to them. Excitiiiiing!
Still trying to finish the comic strip I have been on for weeks.
Still trying to get all the bits for the bike powered cinema together.
VHS Video Basement screenings start next tuesday.
I desperately need to update my website. WHERE DOES ALL MY TIME GO?
